What science knows
Steam distillation transforms this yellow-flowered tansy into a deep-blue oil, colored by chamazulene — a compound studied for its skin-soothing character — alongside sabinene and camphor in trace, naturally occurring amounts. In cosmetic use it is prized for visibly calming reactive-looking skin and reducing the appearance of redness.
What tradition says
Grown almost exclusively in Morocco, blue tansy is a young legend: farmers call it "blue gold," and perfumers and formulators compete for a harvest measured in hundreds of litres worldwide, not tonnes.
In your ritual
In YEMI, blue tansy is the heart of calm: the evening signal that lets stressed skin settle before sleep.
