About Senyana — From Berlin to Dakar
Senyana began with a question: what if skincare took less — and gave more?
The name
Our elixirs carry names with meaning. "Aya" is the Adinkra symbol of the fern — endurance and resourcefulness, the plant that thrives where little else can. "Yemi" comes from Yoruba: to be worthy. Together they hold our philosophy: resilience by day, worthiness of rest by night.
What we make
Concentrated botanical rituals. No water, no fillers — every drop is active plant material from fourteen botanicals, most of them native to West Africa. Two elixirs replace a shelf of products: AYA protects and illuminates through the day, YEMI calms and renews through the night.
How we make it
Our key oils are sourced directly from women's cooperatives in Senegal — the hands that harvest baobab and moringa share in what the brand grows. Formulas are developed in Berlin and produced, packed and tested in the EU under European cosmetic safety standards. Vegan, cruelty-free, fully declared labels — including the naturally occurring fragrance components most brands would rather not talk about.
Where we're going
