Of the fourteen botanicals in our apothecary, none is asked about more than Blue Tansy — the ingredient that gives YEMI its reputation for calming stressed skin.
What it is
Tanacetum annuum is a Mediterranean flower whose steam-distilled oil carries chamazulene, the deep-blue compound it becomes famous for. It takes an enormous quantity of blossom to yield a single litre — which is why true Blue Tansy remains one of the most precious oils in skincare.
What it does
In YEMI, Blue Tansy is the heart of the evening formula: it visibly soothes the skin and reduces the appearance of redness while the rich macadamia and marula base replenishes the lipid barrier overnight.
The honest note
Our current YEMI batch is a deep golden yellow — the Blue Tansy is inside, the colour show is not. A future edition will wear the blue on the outside too. Members of the Senyana Circle will be the first to know.
